Luca Stocker

Servus! My name is Luca Stocker and I am an aspiring speed ski racer. I am nine years old and I live in Maria Rain/Kärnten, Austria. My sister Laura and I are members of the Ski Club Rosental.

I first stood on skis when I was 2 years old, and I fell in love with it! With my parents’ encouragement I kept getting better at it, year by year. However, initially I just wanted to become a good skier but eventually I started participating in giant-slalom races.

When I was six, my papa filmed me skiing down a hill and then posted the video to YouTube. You can watch it here! 

Luckily for me, the ski brand ATOMIC saw the video as well and offered to sponsor me. This was very exciting as these are the same skis my hero Marcel Hirscher skied on during his career! I was able to shoot some videos for Austrian national TV and other networks, which is fun to do! By the way, my papa is also my coach and service technician, and he is very strict with me! We train about five times a week!

In March of the 2018/2019 season, I won both races at the “International Kids Trophy Zauchensee,” which is kind of the World Championship for the little ones! 22 Nations participated and I beat them all! Woohoo!

I won a few more races in the 2019 season, like the “Ski Talents Day 2019” in Flachau, followed by one of the biggest junior races in Europe, the “Little Fox Race,” in Maribor(SL) where 13 Nations participated in. I also won seven regional races and won the overall cup for the season. Check out some more videos at the end of my page!
